gaming?
Any chance for a large gaming area? Great Canadian Board Game Blitz, perhaps? I know this was a hit at Halcon.

I played in the GCBGB at Halcon and I'd be up for at Animaritime. Should be fun!

Great Canadian Board Game Challenge
Yeah! It would be fun to play the challenge there.

Thanks for the suggestion! We'd never heard of GCBGB before, but we're definitely going to look into it. Keep the ideas coming!

do you think that there could be an anime skit competition?

GCBGB @ Animaritime
Marc here from GCBGB (http://www.gcbgb.ca/). Bill Belanger, the gaming director, just brought my attention to these comments. I've already discussed it with him and it's looking good at the moment. I'm meeting with him in February to iron down the details; I hope to make the official announcement via BGG forums and web site shortly after the holidays. Great to see the interest, and hope to see you at Animaritime!

The masquerade's the place to be for skits, walk-ons, etc.! The masquerade's held every year at Animaritime. :)

More information on 2011's masquerade will be posted to the website, as well as the forums in the future.

I know there's probably a limit on how famous the person is...
But I think you should attempt to get Alessandro Juliani to come. I mean...he's Canadian, right? XD

Has there ever been any talk of including a panel on kimono/kitsuke? There's a ton of other Japanese culture panels, and I think a lot of the cosplayers especially would enjoy a panel on wearing kimono.

Re: Has there ever been any talk of including a panel on kimono/kitsuke?
We're always brainstorming lots of different panel ideas and always take attendees' requests and recommendations into consideration. That said we can also only hold panels that we have staff knowledgeable about and comfortable with. A panel about kimono/kitsuke sounds wonderful so if you or anyone you know would be interested in running a panel about it, we encourage volunteer panelists!

Cosplay restriction inquiry.
I'm not saying I'm going as one, but would cosplaying as a character from a hentai be permitted as long as it wasn't too revealing? Or, are there any anime or game characters that I'm not allowed to cosplay as?

Regarding acting out a character through cosplay wear...
I apologize for asking another question, but I have never been to a convention before and am showing great interest in this one since Halcon isn't really my thing. I recommend you look into these things via Youtube before answering so you get an idea of what I'm talking about. Acting like Hard-Gay. Dancing and dressing like the vocaloid Kagamine Len in the Youtube video "Hatsune miku Project DIVA 2nd HD Butterfly of the right shoulder Kagamine Len PSP". Or letting the fan-girls glomp you for "smexiness". Is this allowed?
