Be sure to check it out and keep an eye open for more information about this years convention - it's going to be bigger and better than ever.Jul 04, 2011 - The convention is over, and we are so happy with how this year's convention went.
We want to thank all of our attendees, vendors, guests, supporters, volunteers and staff for making this year super special for all of us.
Staffers are heading home and need a little bit of a break before making updates for 2012. However, for those of you who missed the closing ceremony, Animaritime will be returning June 29, 30 and July 1st of 2012. Expect more information about registering for the convention and getting hotel rooms in the next month, as well as a theme and a fresh new website.
Cheers to you all, and thanks again!
Jun 25, 2011 - We are now 6 days away from the awesomeness that is Animaritime 2011! We've officially closed registration for the event, so you'll only be able to purchase your badges at the door.
We are super excited to see all of you in Moncton, and we hope that you are just as excited for all of the anime and gaming you're going to get to enjoy. See you all in 6 days!

Jun 06, 2011 - Animaritime 2011 has now officially closed it's pre-registration with an amazing response. We were completely stunned by the response we got this year - almost 550 pre-registrations. That is a huge number and we're so glad that everyone is so excited about Animaritime!
The unfortunate side of such a huge number is that we are now worried about reaching the maximum capacity allowed in the Delta defined by fire code regulations. These restrictions are outside of anyone's control - including the Delta Beausejour. In order to host the convention, we have to abide by these regulations. In order to do this we will have to have an event cap of 1750 attendees.
In order to make sure that everyone gets a chance to attend Animaritime 2011, we're opening a new round of pre-registrations. These new registrations will allow people to purchase tickets at the at-door prices for those who want to be sure that they can get into the event. Payment for these tickets will be online only, using our online ticketing system, EventBrite. We'll be keeping this registration open until June 24th.
We will still have tickets available for purchase at-door for those without the ability to pay through the internet or would prefer to purchase their tickets at the convention.
We have created a progress bar that's displayed on our website to show approximately how many tickets are still available. It should give you an idea of how quickly the tickets are selling.
We had not planned on doing anything like this, but your overwhelming enthusiasm for Animaritime 2011 is simply amazing! We're so pleased that you are all excited for Animaritime and we can't wait to see you in July!

Apr 03, 2011 - Animaritime Brings Anime to New Brunswick Libraries
Moncton-Based Anime and Video Game Convention Donates Over $2000 Worth of DVDs to Local Library
We are proud to share news of a recent donation to New Brunswick's public libraries. Representing over 85 different series and films, Animaritime has donated 110 individual DVDs to the library's collection. These include fan-favourites and classics such as Akira, Yu-Gi-Oh, Bleach and Cowboy Bebop. The items were donated via Moncton's public library location.
"We're certainly happy to have this chance to work with the New Brunswick Libraries and to contribute to the growth and learning of those who take advantage of the system. We're also very proud to be able to make such a large donation. It is a great chance for us to give back to the Maritime communities after they've supported us over the past eight years."
The DVDs donated are free for library patrons to borrow as they are circulated into the existing collection. Moncton's public library, located in the city's downtown core, is also home to the city's Anime and Manga Club whose members periodically meet to spend time with fellow fans and view anime screenings of the library's material.
The combined value of Animaritime's donation is $2436. As a part of a provincial fund-raising initiative, the New Brunswick Public Library Foundations matches donations from public organizations and businesses within the province making for a combined addition to the library of nearly $5000 in media and funding.

Thank you all for your patience, and we apologize for this technical glitch.
